Join us, on January 29th, at 7artscafe, for an outstanding recital performed by Yoko and Taro, two artists specializing in Eastern European music, and a unique cultural talk performed by Daniel BERES, the organizer of this event.

Yoko KUMAZAWA
Yoko KUMAZAWA
Yoko KUMAZAWA was born in Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture. She started playing the violin at the age of three. In her youth, she discovered Eastern European music and started researching and performing it. She was also exposed to different themes from the Eastern European cultural sphere, including Romania and Bulgaria. She began focusing on the violin's rich regional characteristics and appeal. She has collaborated with Eastern European folk dance researchers and enthusiasts and has been well-received at various stages and events. She has expanded her activities overseas and has been invited to perform in multiple locations in Romania, Hungary, and Spain.

Taro KISHIMOTO
Taro KISHIMOTO
Taro KISHIMOTO was born in Kyoto. At age 12, he fell in love with the flute and was exposed to the rich music of Ireland and Eastern Europe. He continued his career for over 20 years and was an avid researcher of Eastern European musical culture. He shines on national and international stages as a performer of ancient instruments such as the bouzouki, caval, fluier, and tilinca. He performed at various international festivals in Romania, Hungary, Ireland, and Spain.

Daniel BERES
Daniel BERES
Daniel BERES was born in Ariusd, Romania. He first came to Japan as an Airforce student and graduated from the National Defense Academy of Japan. His military career ended when he discovered the world of wine at age 27. From 2008 until now, he has specialized in Eastern European Wines, mainly in wine law and wine education. He established Euro Asia Trading Corporation, a company importing and promoting Romanian wines in Japan. Author of the chapter on Romanian wines in the Sommelier Manual, published by the Japan Sommelier Association. He also published several articles in Japanese specialty magazines.
